Flautt Hare Davis Carrot Cakes 2012
Date: June 10, 2012
What started in a small kitchen as a thank you offering to clients is now an abundant and fruitful annual tradition. The idea for homemade carrot cakes, baked by the staff and families of Flautt Hare Davis, began when Meredith Flautt and his prior business partner Steve Renner decided they would make unique personalized gifts for their clients and business associates. Over the years, as the number of professional relationships grew so did the number of carrot cakes baked – we’re up to 1,000 carrot cakes for 2013. Baking now takes place in a commercial kitchen, just after Thanksgiving, during a two-day event with over 30 family members participating. Even the youngest children and grandchildren are excited to play a valuable part in the carrot cake process. We continue the "locally famous" carrot cake tradition as a symbol of commitment and an expression of our gratitude for our clients and friends.
